Location. Baan Taling Ngam Resort & Spa is located on Koh Samui's secluded and tranquil western coast. Perfectly positioned within a coconut plantation, the resort's tropical landscape flows gently down to the white sand beach below. Samui lies on the gulf of Thailand, and the resort may be reached by air from Bangkok, or from the resort island of Phuket. There are also regular ferry services from Surat Thani, the closest mainland city.
Hotel Features. Located directly in front of the hotel, a coral reef suitable for swimming stretches past the water sports center. The hotel recommends footwear when snorkeling or swimming on the reef, which may be purchased at the property's on site gift shop. The boutique also rents laser discs and CDs. Should guests require medical treatment, a clinic is located on the premises near the outdoor pool. The hotel employs a resident dive master, who offers comprehensive classes for beginners and advanced divers. Professional trainers devise work out programs at the fitness center, while the Baan Taling Ngam Spa offers distinctive outdoor treatment facilities with views of nearby islands and the ocean horizon. Additional property amenities include shuttle bus service to Nathorn and Chaweng, concierge services and a hair salon. Four dining establishments offer spicy Tai and Asian specialties, or traditional Mediterranean dishes.
Guestrooms. Baan Taling Ngam Resort & Spa offers 70 Thai style accommodations including beachside villas, cliff villas, deluxe rooms and suites, and the exclusive new Royal Villa Baan Napa. All rooms are air conditioned and feature televisions, CD and DVD players, wireless Internet access, minibars. Bathrobes and slippers are available in all guestrooms.
Expert Tip. This resort uses longtail boats to take guests on excursions to neighboring islands. The spectacular Ang Thong Marine National Park can be accessed by the hotel's speedboat.
