Location. Bordered by soaring rock edifices and Thailand's Andaman seaboard, the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi povides a calming retreat for leisure vacationers and international travelers. Positioned on the west coast of southern Thailand, Krabi is home to a new international airport, which is 35 kilometers from the Central Krabi Bay Resort; a distance that takes approximately 30 minutes to drive. Located in the Pai Plong Bay area of Ao Nang, this tropical resort is also within two kilometers of Railay Beach.
Hotel Features. From the hotel's multi tiered pool, visitors will witness captivating views of Krabi Bay and the impressive rock edifices that serve as a perimeter around the resort. The hotel features five on site dining venues that offer various world cuisines, from Thai to Mediterranean food. There is also a waterfront bar and grill with tables at the water's edge, where guests are served cocktails beneath bending palm trees and the setting sun. The hotel also features a full health spa and fitness center.
Guestrooms. With contemporary furnishings, recessed lighting and dark wood accents, each of the hotel's 192 guestroom interiors are sophisticated and intimate. All guestrooms have balconies with ocean views and are decorated in a tropical style with rattan/teak furnishings. Some guestrooms also have CD and DVD players.
Expert Tip. The area around this Krabi resort is known for being the country's oldest area of continued settlement. After carbon dating stone tools, ancient colored pictures, beads, pottery and skeletal remains found in the province's many cliffs and caves, it is speculated that Krabi has been home to Homo sapiens since the period 25,000 35,000 B.C.
Gala Dinner:
The hotel hosts a gala dinner on December 31, 2007. Guests are charged for the dinner regardless of whether they attend. Fees for the dinner are collected by the hotel at check in.
