The Mercure Grand Hotel Nantes was built in 1992 in a traditional French provincial style and is located in the historic centre of Nantes, 500 metres from the Ducs de Bretagne Castle. The 162 guestrooms over five floors are decorated in light, neutral colours and feature contemporary furnishings in an Art Deco style. All are equipped with satellite television, direct dial phones, dial up and wireless Internet connections, clock radios and minibars.
Bistrot L'Enchanson serves authentic French cooking in a traditional dining room and extends to a terrace area during fine weather. The Les Celebrites bar serves snacks and drinks until late, and hosts live music. Staff at the 24 hour front desk can look after valuables in the safe deposit box, provide room service and offer advice on local sights and attractions. The hotel also offers breakfast every morning and houses a hair salon. Onsite business facilities include 11 meeting rooms, the largest of which has a maximum capacity of 70. Banquet facilities are also available. Guests arriving by car can make use of a parking garage. The historic Ducs de Bretagne Castle and Nantes Cathedral are both 500 metres from the hotel. Those in search of culture will find the Beaux Arts Museum, Theatre Graslin and the Gaumont cinema also within 500 metres. Nantes Airport is 15 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
